A beautiful vigorous climber with medium sized dark green leaves. Striking clusters of dark eggplant black curled sepals offset a fluffy boss of star like stamens. This tropical clematis has an unusually sweet fragrance and the added bonus of being an autumn bloomer. A native of tropical Asia it adapts well to many conditions. Requires a tropical or sub tropical climate for best results.
